The idea was to work....
“Big Sound” is an audio work that fully takes up the White Column space, capturing the essence of natural background noises: the sounds of wind blowing trees and their bird inhabitants’, to beach waves and seagulls, these sounds re-purpose the natural etiquette of the White Column space, and provide listeners an alternative state of mind when entering the area. By having the sounds play on a loop, it becomes a background element to the room, and was intentionally made to be so, yet is still a noticeable element to the space.
the work intends to mimic how a space can be reclaimed by nature once abandoned, but questions how such changes can be applied to a modern, and still used space.

Remove the Spectacle
Remove the Spectacle
In this exhibit, visitors lie beneath a ceiling gaze, reflecting on the sensation of being perceived. Through recorded questions, it hopefully invites introspection on public versus private selves, asking: How would we live if no one was watching?"
Questions
How does it feel, lying here knowing you might be seen?
When have you felt eyes on you before?
Were they really watching ?
Do you ever shape your actions because of how you think you’re perceived?
In this moment, do you think others notice you, or is that your perception?
If no one was watching, if you truly felt unseen, what would you do differently? How would you live differently?
